Spooky Season Entertaining Made Easy: Boarderie’s Halloween Cheese, Charcuterie & Dessert Boards

Halloween hosting has a way of sneaking up on you. One minute you’re carving a pumpkin, and the next you’re wondering how to feed a house full of costumed guests without spending the whole night in the kitchen. If that sounds familiar, the Boarderie Halloween collection might be the easiest decision you make this season.

Every board arrives chilled, fully arranged, and ready to eat. No slicing, no styling, no grocery run. You open the box, let the board sit out for a bit, and you’re the person who somehow pulled off a spooky grazing table.

Who Is Behind Boarderie?

Boarderie is a founder-led, family-run company started in 2021 by Angel, Rachel, Julie and Aaron. Aaron and Julie previously ran a gourmet hospitality business in Palm Beach, Florida. When the pandemic canceled their events, the four of them set out to answer one question: could you make catering-quality cheese boards and deliver them beautifully anywhere in the country? Boarderie was the answer, and the team later appeared on Shark Tank.

Boards are made fresh daily, and the cheeses and cured meats come from artisan producers around the world, including Italy, France, England, Spain and the United States. You can read more on the Boarderie story page.

The Halloween Cheese & CharBOOterie Boards

The star of the collection is the CharBOOterie board, a Halloween take on the classic cheese and charcuterie spread. It comes in three sizes:

  • Classic serves 2 to 3 and costs $139
  • Medium serves 4 to 6 and costs $169
  • Large serves 10 to 14 and costs $249

Here is what is inside the Medium board. The cheese lineup includes Apple Smoked Cheddar, Fig & Rose Goat Cheese, Merlot Pecorino, Cranberry Wensleydale and Peppadew Pepper White Cheddar. A pumpkin-shaped white cheddar and a bat-shaped yellow cheddar bring the Halloween fun. Black Truffle Salami and Peppered Salami cover the meat side. Then come the extras that make a board feel special: salted caramel walnuts, sweet sesame almonds, chipotle cashews, tangerine and chili marinated olives, dried cherries, Turkish dates, and chocolate candy corn.

The board rides on a reusable acacia wood tray and comes with a rosemary and olive oil cracker box plus a bamboo serving kit, so guests can dig in right away.

Prefer No Meat? Try the Halloween Cheese Boards

Boarderie also offers Halloween cheese boards with no meat in Classic, Medium and Large sizes. They are a good fit for vegetarian friends and anyone who simply wants more cheese. You can browse them in the Halloween collection.

Sweet Tooth? Meet the Halloween Dessert Boards

New this year are the limited edition Halloween Dessert Boards, available in Classic, Medium and Large sizes. They are packaged in a purple, spooky-season look and made for the guest who skips the cheese and heads straight for the sweets. They would also make a fun finale for a party that started with a savory board. Start with the Halloween Medium Dessert Board to see the details.

The Limited Edition Mummy Baked Brie

This one is a showstopper. The Halloween Limited Edition Mummy Baked Brie is a 9 inch brie wrapped in puff pastry in a mummy design. Inside, creamy brie is blended with orange citrus, cranberries, pecans and brown sugar. It serves 5 or more and costs $139, and it comes with a box of crackers and a reusable acacia board.

It arrives frozen and ready to bake, which gives you flexibility. Bake it from frozen in the oven-safe light wood tray (not the dark wood board) at 425°F for 20 to 25 minutes, until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. Then let it rest in the switched-off oven for 40 minutes so the center stays warm and gooey. Boarderie notes that unbaked bries keep in the freezer for up to 3 months, so you can order it now and save it for Thanksgiving or Christmas if you like. This one is not gluten free.

Easy Ways to Use Your Board

  • Trick-or-treat refuel: Set the board out for the adults once the kids head off with their buckets. Nobody has to cook.
  • Halloween movie night: A board on the coffee table beats a bowl of popcorn.
  • Costume party centerpiece: Put the Large board in the middle of the room and let guests graze all night.
  • A gift for the friend who has everything: Send one as a surprise, or use the e-gift option so the recipient picks their own delivery date.

Serving Tips From the Boarderie Team

Cheese tastes best at room temperature, so take the board out of the fridge about an hour before serving. When you’re ready, remove the seal and pour the nuts from their bags into the spots marked for them.

For pairings, Boarderie co-founder Rachel Solomon recommends Sauvignon Blanc with Peppadew Pepper White Cheddar, and Liset Del Sol from the production team pairs Cabernet Sauvignon with Apple Smoked Cheddar. Both cheeses appear on the Medium board, so you can try both with one purchase. For a non-alcoholic option, warm apple cider goes nicely with the smoky cheddar.

Leftovers keep well. Wrap the board in parchment and plastic and refrigerate for up to 10 days. Once you finish, wipe the acacia board with a damp cloth (no dishwasher) and keep it for your next gathering.

How Delivery Works

Shipping is free nationwide via FedEx Overnight. Each board travels in an insulated box with reusable ice packs that keep it cold for up to 48 hours, so you do not need to be home when it arrives. Boards are delivered Tuesday through Saturday (and some Mondays around the holidays), and orders placed by 2 PM on a given weekday are made fresh and shipped for next-day delivery. Because Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, check the delivery dates at checkout and plan to have your board arrive at least a day early to be safe. Unopened boards stay fresh for 5 to 7 days in the refrigerator.

Boarderie is also offering $10 off each board for delivery before December 15, applied at checkout. Several Halloween boards are listed as almost sold out, so don’t wait if you want one for this weekend.

A quick note for guests with dietary needs: most ingredients are gluten free, but the standard crackers contain gluten, and the chocolates on holiday boards may too. Boarderie can substitute gluten-free crackers if you email your order number ahead of time.

A Company That Gives Back

Boarderie donates its excess cheese and meat from production twice a week to The Lord’s Place to help feed people in need, and it employs adults with developmental disabilities through The Arc of Palm Beach County. The shipping boxes are made from recycled materials and are recyclable, and the boards themselves are reusable. It is nice to know your party platter comes from a company that cares.
